A vCard QR code stores your contact details in the standard format that every phone understands. When someone scans it, their phone opens a new contact with all fields filled in. They just tap “Save”.

Every extra field adds data and makes the code denser. For small business cards, stick to name, phone, email and company. A full street address is better on larger prints.
The scan check decodes your code and compares it with your input. Download SVG or PDF for your print shop or PNG for email signatures and presentations.
Trade shows, conferences, open houses and client meetings are where vCard codes shine. Real estate agents, insurance agents, contractors and consultants print them on business cards, yard signs and brochures so prospects can save their number on the spot.
On a standard 3.5 × 2 inch business card, a code of at least 0.8 inches (2 cm) is a good minimum. Leave a light margin around it and avoid placing it over a busy background or across a fold.
The QR code itself holds text only. If you add an optional portrait, it is included in the downloadable .vcf contact file, which you can attach to emails or share in messaging apps.
vCard is the standard file format for contact information (.vcf). Contact apps on iPhone, Android, Outlook and Gmail can all read it, which makes it ideal for QR codes.
No. The phone shows a preview of the contact, and the person decides whether to save it. Nothing is added without their confirmation.
A static vCard code stores the details inside the code. If your phone number or job changes, create a new code. For printed materials you plan to reuse, check them before every print run.
No. A logo in the center of the code is only a design element. A contact photo can only be shared through the downloadable .vcf file.
Yes. Creating and downloading a static vCard QR code is free on QR-Lizard, with no account and no expiration date.
Add the code to your cards, name badge, email signature or LinkedIn banner and stop spelling out your email address.
